Setting up a Landing Page
What is the Landing Page?
In this document we review landing page options and how this tool fits within your available options for inviting people to participate in your course/campaign.
The landing page collects basic contact information, and adds people to your course/campaign.
The landing page is one of several invite tools you can use to get people to sign up for your course/campaign.
In campaign settings > Landing Page
NOTE: The landing page pulls in the text information about your course/campaign (set in Campaigns > Info).
Add a Display Image or a Video
The Display Image can also be a branded marketing image, but it needs to adhere to the 16:9 ratio.
Video can be used to tell the story about the course or experience they will have when they sign up to take part of your course/campaign. Video is the number one way to capture attention, but it's not required, particularly if you are just using the landing page to collect sign-ups from people who already know about the course you have made. Video, on the other hand, is better at explaining what the experience is about, why they should sign up, and encouraging their participation.
The video link to use is the "share" link provided by YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, Vidyard, or other video hosting platforms.
If you include a video link - that will take priority over the image you set. Some may want to use a placeholder image until they have the video ready to go.
Customize the button text with your audience in mind. Sign me up! or Join Us, both are the same action but have a different tone. Consider your audience when setting button text.
You also have the option of making the mobile number required or optional.
The redirect URL - can send them to a specific page on your website or other reference material when they sign up. Here's something to try: use this feature to direct them to a custom thank you page with a downloadable asset!
The Facebook Pixel ID - is used when you need to collect information or gauge interest from a Facebook campaign you have started. When you start a Facebook campaign - you create a Facebook "pixel" code - and that code can be entered here so that you can measure the effectiveness of your campaign in Facebook analytics!
Review and Copy Landing page URL
At the bottom of the page - the critical piece of all of this - is the URL you will share out for sign-ups. The URL is the web address you copy and use to share, market, promote or use to collect sign-ups for your course/campaign. The copy button quickly copies the URL to your clipboard for later use.
Visit the URL to have a look at how this all fits together:
The result is a landing page that could look something like this example where the information is pulled from campaign overview info, and a video is being used instead of a display image to introduce the course:
What if I don't like the way the Landing Page looks?
Is your landing page lacking information? Use campaign info settings to populate it with a description.
If you want a customized look and feel - embed the landing page or form within a page you have designed! You can use the invite tools embedded landing page or embed just the form into your custom-designed landing page or marketing web page on your site.
