Testing Your Course/Campaign

Ready to Launch? Let's Test It Out First!

Testing within the ConveYour system

So you have a course setup, and you are ready to send it out... Whoah! It's time to reign it in. Of course you are excited to have people jump in an experience your course, but it's important to test from the learner perspective first!

Testing Within ConveYour Lessons

You may have have already conducted simple tests of your triggered content within campaign builder, or while creating lessons. This is just phase one of testing. To test a lesson as you build, simply click the TEST button - located in the top right of lesson builder.

Test Lesson Content in a Quickly-Built Campaign Shell

Did you know - you don't have to complete all of the campaign elements to create a basic campaign shell for testing out content? Watch the video below for the minimum requirements to test out your content.

In content setup, again the test button is located in the top right of the screen. When testing in the content area, you also have the option to simulate different screen types in order to see how the content will look.

The simulator shows you how your triggers will look in three different devices. This is located in the top right of your screen. Very handy. Mobile Phone, Tablet and Desktop.

Ready to Launch?

The video above shares the minimum requirements for you to test internally. Before you launch to your participants, you want to make sure you meet the minimum LAUNCH REQUIREMENTS we have created a handy pre-launch checklist for you to use >>

Testing From the User's Point of View Using Invite Tools

Ideally, you need to experience this campaign from the learner perspective. This is where the invite tools can come in really handy.

Use Landing Page

One way to test is by copying the landing page URL from Campaign Builder > Invite Tools, and sign yourself up as a learner.

Use Text To Join

You should also test the Hashtag Method or Text To Join - where you text the hashtag you setup in your Campaign Settings, to your unique ConveYour number.

In both cases, make sure your confirmation messages (in Registration & Confirmation) are setup so you will get your confirmation message as soon as you are added to the campaign:

If you have all setup correctly, you should receive your confirmation message with a link to your portal so you can test your campaign from your mobile device!

**Test your course/campaign, and go back in to make any necessary changes or adjustments before launch. **

Email Testing

If you expect your audience will not be accessing your program from a mobile device from text messages, you can also test the email-only version of your campaign. Sometimes, your audience will actually prefer email campaigns to SMS messaging. We suggest again using the landing page sign-up method and omit your mobile number (assuming you made the mobile number not required on landing page form.) Then, check that email used on sign-up to experience from the learner point of view coming through via email.

NOTE: check your spam folder for the confirmation email. If your confirmation emails continually go into the spam folder, you may want to look into verifying your email address, and adding your real email address vs. the ConveYour alias as a "sender" option for your account. To do this you will need to verify your email address, and add the DKIM or SPF records.

Please contact technical support for assistance in setting this up for you.
